An auspicious day. A grand function. A memorable moment.
The Investiture Ceremony is one of the momentous occasions when the school entrusts hope, faith, and the mantle of responsibility to the newly appointed Student Leaders. This ceremony signifies the reliance and confidence that the school consigns in the newly invested members of the Student Council. The Royal Academy School held its Investiture Ceremony, with great zeal and zest on Wednesday, 21st Sept 2022, at the school campus.
The program commenced with a brief introduction, followed by the UAE National Anthem and the Quran recitation.
The gathering was warmly welcomed after which our Principal, Ms. Nigar Rashed, who is the epitome of an upcoming efficient Leader, gave her inaugural speech.
The Principal congratulated the newly appointed Student Council members for their preparedness to take responsibilities and to use these opportunities and balance them well with academics and to excel in both. She advised the Student Leaders to be accountable, impartial, and honest in discharging their duties. They were also reminded that, with position comes responsibility towards themselves, their peers, and their school, and along with these, come the struggles of helping one another, to achieve heights.
The elected Leaders were conferred with badges and sashes by the Principal and the Senior Leadership Team. The Student Leaders took the pledge that they shall ensure the flag of the school continues to fly high, in all arenas, both Curricular as well as Co-Curricular fields.
The House Captains of the four houses – Blue: Water (Perseverance Conquers), Green: Earth (Honor before Victory), Yellow: Wind (Imagination Unbound), Red: Fire (Brilliance Unchallenged) also pledged to lead their houses to victory, in every sense.
Donning the mantle of accountability, all the Student Council Members pledged to render their duties to the best of their abilities. Yes, miles to go and miles to go, all the way forward with strength and valor, and promises to keep.
The Head Boy and Head Girl, rendered their first official address, thanking the school for the bestowing them with the prestigious title and for the confidence shown in their abilities. The school choir sang a melodious song, ‘We are the Children’, echoing in unison, the request for the world to come together as one, ‘ONE Great Big Family’, which is indeed what we long for. The program was concluded with words of gratitude, to all present..
